How to Install Drawer Stop Moldings58

As a leading manufacturer of edge banding in China, we're often asked about the best way to install drawer stop moldings. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get the job done right:

Tools and Materials- Drawer stop moldings
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Pencil
- Saw
- Hammer or nail gun
- Nails or screws

Instructions

1. Measure and mark the location of the drawer stop molding

- Open the drawer fully and measure the distance from the front edge of the drawer to the point where you want the stop to be.
- Mark this point on both sides of the drawer.

2. Cut the drawer stop molding

- Cut two pieces of drawer stop molding to the desired length. The length should be equal to the distance you measured in step 1.

3. Install the drawer stop molding

- Apply a thin line of glue to the back of the drawer stop molding.
- Position the molding on the drawer, aligning the marks you made in step 1.
- Hammer or nail the molding into place.

4. Optional: Add a second drawer stop molding

- If you want a more secure stop, you can add a second drawer stop molding to the opposite side of the drawer.
- Follow steps 2 and 3 to install the second molding.

Tips- Use a miter saw to cut the drawer stop molding for a clean, professional-looking finish.
- Be sure to use nails or screws that are long enough to penetrate the drawer and the molding.
- If you're not sure how long the drawer stop molding should be, it's better to err on the side of caution and cut it a little too long. You can always trim it down later.
